Monday-Friday Midwest Woodturners is looking for a dependable Production Associate to join our shop in Spring Valley, WI. This is a hands-on production position primarily focused on sanding and finishing wood boards . The work is straightforward and repetitive, similar to an assembly-line production environment. You do not need to be an experienced woodworker—we can train the right person. Most of your day will consist of sanding boards using power sanders and preparing finished products for the next step in our production process. This is a good position for someone who likes working with their hands, staying busy, and seeing tangible results from their work. Primary Responsibilities Sand wood boards using handheld power sanders Inspect boards for scratches, rough areas, or other imperfections Prepare boards for the next stage of production Stack, move, and organize boards throughout the shop Maintain a clean and organized work area Perform other basic production tasks as needed Follow established processes to maintain consistent quality and production speed What We're Looking For Dependable and able to show up consistently Comfortable performing repetitive work throughout the day Able to work efficiently while maintaining quality Comfortable using basic power tools Able to stand for extended periods Able to lift and move wood boards throughout the workday Good attention to detail Willingness to learn and take direction Previous woodworking experience is NOT required. Experience in manufacturing, production, assembly, construction, woodworking, auto body, sanding, or other hands-on work is helpful but not necessary. About the Work This is primarily a production sanding position , not a skilled woodworking or cabinetmaking position. If you are comfortable working with a power sander for much of the day and prefer straightforward, hands-on work, this could be a good fit. We are looking for someone who can become fast and consistent while still producing a quality finished product.

Pay:

$16.00 - $20.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
