We have a Bus Driver position available in the Brooke county area. As a Bus Driver , you will be providing transportation for preschool aged children to ensure that they are able to attend school on a regular basis. JOB REQUIREMENTS

Must have at least a high school diploma or GED Must be at least 21 years old Must have a CDL class B or higher with passenger and school bus endorsements, with a clean driving record Must be able to meet WV Transportation regulations/standards requirements and be willing to enter the State Driver's Certification program Must be able to drive a school bus daily

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Safely transport children to assigned activities, according to all state, federal, and program regulations; enforce all transportation rules and regulations with passengers in accordance with written transportation plans and applicable laws. Verify, using photo ID, the identity of persons removing children from the vehicle to ensure that they are designated by the parent/guardian. Conduct bus safety activities with children once a month; provide bus aide supervision and training to promote safety. Maintain bus on approved preventative maintenance schedule; ensure the cleanliness of the bus at all times according to WV Transportation regulations. Complete all daily, monthly, and other required transportation reports in an accurate and timely manner. Deliver supplies to sites; move equipment; clean, cut grass, shovel snow, and complete other tasks as assigned by supervisor at sites.
