This position is eligible for overtime compensation for all hours worked over 40 in the designated workweek. Job Type Temporary Department Recorder About the Position The Special Elections Board (SEB) Staff will partner with a team member from a different political party to provide services to voters. These services focus on facilitating voting for those confined due to illness or disability. This cross-functional position will also support divisional operations within early voting (Signature Verification, Curing, etc.). The ideal candidate will be adaptable, possess strong interpersonal skills, and be able to learn new tasks quickly. Follow this link to learn more! Work With Us | Maricopa County, AZ We Require This position requires a High School Diploma or GED. Other Requirements Must possess or have the ability to obtain a valid Arizona driver's license by the time of hire Must complete the next scheduled Secretary of State Election Officer Certification Must be eligible to vote in Arizona and pass an applicable background screening Job Contributions The teams are paired into bipartisan boards to travel throughout Maricopa County Responsible for providing services and assistance to voters who are ill, disabled, or confined to their personal residence or assisted living facility. Perform outreach to facilities such as nursing homes and assisted living facilities Assists other divisions of the Recorder's Office with election duties as needed Working Conditions This position requires extensive overtime during periods of heavy workloads. Ability to sit or stand for extended periods Ability to lift floor-to-shoulder and shoulder-to-waist a minimum of 25 pounds and carry for 100 feet Ability to push/pull a minimum of 50 pounds for 200 feet Some positions may require the use of a County or personal vehicle, which would require a valid driver's license, current auto insurance, a reliable vehicle, and attendance in Maricopa County's Defensive Driving Course Mileage reimbursement is available for personal vehicles used during a shift.
