Job Description
Job Summary The station is located in Wilmington, DE. Join our dynamic delivery team as an Amazon Delivery Athlete, where you'll play a vital role in bringing packages directly to customers' doorsteps with energy and enthusiasm. As a Delivery Athlete, you will be the face of our company—delivering exceptional service while navigating your route efficiently and safely. Duties Safely operate various delivery vehicles including box trucks and personal vehicles to complete daily routes Load and unload packages using manual handling techniques and material handling equipment such as pallet jacks Follow established route driving procedures while adhering to traffic regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards Deliver packages accurately to customers' locations, ensuring proper handling and safe lifting practices for heavy or bulky items Utilize mobile devices for route navigation, package scanning, and customer communication Maintain vehicle safety by performing routine inspections and reporting any issues promptly Provide excellent customer service by engaging professionally with recipients during deliveries and resolving any concerns efficiently Qualifications Prior experience in delivery driving, warehouse operations, or courier services preferred Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles and commercial trucks if applicable Experience with manual handling, heavy lifting, and moving heavy objects safely in accordance with workplace weight handling standards Familiarity with warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and material handling tools is a plus Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; commercial driver's license (CDL) or DOT certification is advantageous Strong understanding of traffic regulations and safe driving practices in various conditions Excellent communication skills for interacting with customers and team members effectively Join us as a Delivery Athlete to make an impact through energetic service delivery while enjoying competitive weekly pay, comprehensive benefits, retirement plans, tuition support, and opportunities for performance-based rewards.
