Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic team as an Independent Contractor Courier, where you will play a vital role in ensuring timely and efficient delivery of goods to our valued customers. This position offers the flexibility to operate your own vehicle while providing essential logistics support. As a courier, you will be responsible for handling packages with care, navigating routes confidently, and maintaining excellent customer service standards. Your proactive approach and commitment to safety will help us deliver exceptional service every day. Responsibilities Safely load, unload, and transport packages using your personal or commercial vehicle, including box trucks or similar vehicles Adhere strictly to traffic regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards during route driving and delivery operations Use mobile devices for route navigation, delivery confirmations, and communication with dispatch teams Perform manual handling tasks such as lifting, moving, and stacking packages in accordance with safe lifting practices and heavy lifting protocols Ensure accurate documentation of deliveries, including signatures and proof of delivery Maintain vehicle cleanliness and perform routine checks to ensure compliance with safety standards Provide excellent customer service by delivering packages promptly, professionally, and courteously Experience Prior delivery driver experience or courier background preferred, especially with warehouse operations or commercial driving roles Familiarity with manual transmission vehicles and material handling equipment such as pallet jacks or load & unload tools Experience in warehouse environments involving manual handling and moving heavy items Knowledge of route driving techniques, adhering to traffic regulations, and safe lifting practices Ability to operate mobile devices efficiently for route management and communication Demonstrated ability to handle weight safely in the workplace while performing manual handling tasks Valid driver's license suitable for operating a box truck or personal vehicle used for deliveries; commercial truck driving experience is a plus This role is ideal for motivated individuals who thrive on independence, enjoy active work environments, and are committed to delivering outstanding service while maintaining safety standards.
