Overview Join our dynamic team as a Medical Courier, where you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and timely transportation of medical supplies, specimens, and equipment. Courier will transport blood specimens to Metairie, LA M-F in the afternoon. Duties Safely operate personal vehicles to transport medical items between healthcare facilities, laboratories, pharmacies, and other designated locations Load and unload medical supplies using manual handling techniques and material handling equipment such as pallet jacks when necessary Follow established routes efficiently while adhering strictly to traffic regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations for commercial driving Ensure proper documentation of deliveries, including signatures and delivery logs via mobile devices or electronic systems Maintain the integrity of medical shipments by handling materials with care, practicing safe lifting techniques, and managing weight limits appropriately Communicate professionally with clients and team members to confirm delivery details and resolve any issues promptly Conduct routine vehicle inspections to ensure safety standards are met and report any maintenance needs Requirements Proven experience in delivery driving, courier services, or warehouse operations with a focus on manual handling and heavy lifting Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience with commercial truck driving or van driving preferred. Copy of current insurance.
