Schedule:

Monday-Friday nights, starting at 6:00 p.m. and usually finished by 2:30 a.m. (Friday's route finishes early Saturday morning) Meadowlark Logistics is looking for an independent contractor to run our nightly Fargo to Bismarck linehaul, Monday through Friday. A Meadowlark cargo van is provided for the route. The route You start at our Fargo facility at 6:00 p.m., run to Bismarck, and come back to Fargo, usually finishing by 2:30 a.m. The route has up to 15 stops a night, and the finish time moves with that night's load. The round trip is about 400 miles, mostly on I-94. You will carry medical specimens, environmental samples, and other express freight. You'll follow chain-of-custody and specimen-handling procedures. We cover full route details at the interview. The van Meadowlark can provide a non-DOT cargo van for the route, so no CDL or DOT medical card is needed. The van is kept at our Fargo facility. You pick it up there at the start of the route and return it there at the end. The van is for the route only, with no personal use. Requirements At least 21 years old. Valid driver's license and a clean driving record, with no major violations and no DUIs (motor vehicle record review). Able to pass a criminal background check and a drug screen before contracting. HIPAA training completed before contracting. Meadowlark facilitates the training. Able to pass a TSA Security Threat Assessment. Meadowlark facilitates the application. Able to lift and carry up to 75 lbs. Comfortable driving I-94 at night, year-round, in North Dakota winter conditions. You will coordinate with our 24-hour dispatch on road closures. Your own transportation to and from our Fargo facility. A smartphone with a data plan for the Meadowlark driver app (scans, signatures, tracking). Professional, courteous, and on time every night. This freight is time-critical, so reliability matters most to us. Prior courier, delivery, or van driving experience is a plus but not required. Independent contractor relationship This is an independent contractor engagement, not employment. You contract with Meadowlark Logistics, LLC through your own business (sole proprietor or LLC) and are paid per completed route on a 1099 basis. You are responsible for fuel, for the van while it is in your care, and for your own taxes. Meadowlark does not withhold taxes or provide benefits, and there is no guaranteed minimum. Settlements are paid by ACH on the 1st and 15th of each month. About Meadowlark Logistics Meadowlark Logistics, LLC is a North Dakota courier and logistics company based in Fargo and Bismarck.
