Job Description

JOB TITLE
Courier
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • The Courier is responsible for accurate movement and deliveries of products to and from internal and external customers/suppliers.
  • Responsible for timely delivery of product and any transactions that are required in the ERP system.
  • Responsible for expediting products for internal customers or shipment of products as required.
  • Operate a fork truck for normal warehouse operations including outside truck loading and unloading.
  • Understand processes and methods to achieve internal and external customer requirements.
  • Must follow all processes to ensure that the employee and the company are not put at risk.
  • Must be a team player capable of working with several different departments to accomplish a similar goal.
  • Must always keep the work area safe and clean.
  • Responsible for the quality of work they do including following processes and standard quality checks as appropriate.
  • Responsible for the proper distribution of the company's internal mail between buildings.
  • Responsible for maintaining a driver's license and all requirements associated with the company vehicles set by the State and a violation free driving record.
  • Responsible for the required maintenance and cleanliness of the company vehicle(s).
  • May assist other inventory control positions when required (receiving, stockroom, packing, cycle counting, etc).
WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS
  • Normal production environment.
  • Safety Glasses are required at all times in the manufacturing area.
  • Sitting at a Computer for extended periods of time is required.
  • Normal work week is 40 hours with off-shift and weekend support as needed to assure work is completed in a timely fashion.
  • Clear or correct vision and a close distance and ability to read small print, numbers or measurement devices at a close distance.
  • Ability to lift 25 lbs. unassisted and up to 50 lbs. with assistance.
  • Pass vision test as required by NYS Driver's License Bureau.
  • Ability to sit for extended periods of driving time up to 6 hours.

Pay:
$19.00 - $21.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
