LABORATORY COURIER
—
GRAND PRAIRIE TO BEDFORD
This route is available to start ASAP. We are a courier service specializing in transporting laboratory specimens from client locations. We are seeking a dependable independent contractor to complete an established weekday route in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
REQUIREMENTS
Reliable vehicle with working air conditioning . Single-cab trucks are not accepted. Valid Texas driver's license and current liability insurance. At least 18 years old and eligible to work in the U.S. Personal smartphone with an adequate data plan. Ability to print, scan, and email paperwork. Knowledge of and experience driving in DFW traffic. Professional attitude and appearance. Ability to communicate clearly in English with dispatch and pickup staff and understand written route instructions.
ROUTE DETAILS
The route operates Monday through Friday , beginning at approximately 2:30 p.m. in Grand Prairie near I-20 and Great Southwest Parkway . It travels through Mansfield, Arlington, and North Grand Prairie near Highway 360 and Carrier Parkway, concluding around 5:30 p.m. at the designated storage unit in Bedford, Texas . The route averages approximately 65 miles per day . Actual mileage and completion time may vary with traffic and scheduled pickups. Drivers must safely complete all scheduled stops, follow specimen pickup and handling instructions, and accurately enter pickup information. This is an independent contractor opportunity . Each driver is responsible for completing their assigned route and providing, insuring, maintaining, and fueling their own vehicle .
COMPENSATION
Compensation is paid as a flat daily base rate for the completed route , covering all scheduled stops. It is not paid by the hour or mile. Monday through
Thursday:
$65 per day.
Friday:
$61 per day. An additional fuel surcharge is paid on top of the driver's invoice. The current surcharge is 5% . The labs determine this percentage and review it every two weeks, so it may change. Payments are made twice monthly by direct deposit on the 6th and 21st .

This route ships 3 boxes between 30-50 lbs a night. Are you able to do lift 50 pounds? This is your opportunity to tell us why you think you would make a good partner on our team. How does this fit into your schedule? You will be required to download and use two apps. One app is used to report specimen count, while the other is used for communication purposes. Both apps are free to download and use. While you won't use much data during this route, it is necessary to have an adequate phone plan to ensure smooth communication and data usage. Do you understand that you will be engaged as an independent contractor and will be responsible for your own vehicle? As a contractor, you are responsible for your vehicle, maintenance, and fuel. Are you confident driving throughout Arlington and surrounding areas? This route requires a disciplined driver who can adapt to traffic, open stretches, and changing conditions while maintaining efficiency.
