Courier Driver

Responsibilities Safely operate commercial vehicles such as box trucks and other delivery vans to transport goods across designated routes. Load and unload packages efficiently using equipment like pallet jacks or forklifts when necessary, ensuring items are handled with care. Plan and follow optimal delivery routes to maximize efficiency and meet delivery deadlines. Interact professionally with customers during deliveries, providing excellent customer service and addressing any questions or concerns. Verify shipment accuracy, complete delivery documentation, and obtain signatures when required. Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after shifts to ensure safety standards are maintained. Maintain accurate logs of deliveries, mileage, fuel consumption, and vehicle maintenance needs. Skills Proven experience as a delivery driver or courier, with a strong understanding of route driving and navigation. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally. Warehouse experience is a plus for handling loading/unloading tasks efficiently. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; commercial driving license (CDL) or driver certification preferred. Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual tasks involved in moving packages safely. Familiarity with operating equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and manual transmission vehicles. Strong organizational skills for load & unload processes, route planning, and documentation accuracy. $24.03 - $28.94 per hour
