Job Description

Job Summary:
Sandestin Golf & Beach Resort is seeking a friendly, energetic, and customer-focused Beverage Cart Attendant to join our team. This position is responsible for providing exceptional service to golfers by delivering beverages and snacks throughout the golf course. The ideal candidate will enjoy working outdoors, have excellent interpersonal skills, and be able to handle physical activity.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Service:
Provide excellent customer service by interacting with guests in a friendly and professional manner. Respond to guest requests and needs promptly and efficiently.
Sales and Transactions:
Promote and sell beverages and snacks. Accurately handle cash, credit card transactions, and member charges.
Inventory Management:
Monitor and maintain inventory levels on the beverage cart. Restock beverages, snacks, and supplies as needed.
Presentation:
Ensure the beverage cart is clean, well-organized, and presentable at all times. Adhere to health and safety regulations.
Operations:
Navigate the golf course efficiently while respecting the pace of play. Follow all operational policies and procedures.
Reporting:
Communicate effectively with the Food and Beverage Manager regarding inventory needs, sales, and customer feedback.
Physical Requirements:
Mobility:
Ability to stand, walk, and drive a golf cart for extended periods. Must be able to navigate various terrains including hills, gravel paths, and grassy areas.
Strength:
Must be able to lift, carry, and move items up to 50 pounds. This includes loading and unloading the beverage cart with supplies and inventory.
Endurance:
Must be able to work outdoors in various weather conditions, including heat, humidity, and rain. The position requires stamina to maintain energy and performance throughout shifts.
Manual Dexterity:
Ability to handle cash, operate a point-of-sale system, and restock the cart with precision.
Outdoor Work:
Must be able to work outside in various weather conditions, including extreme heat, humidity, cold, and rain.
Qualifications:
Experience:
Previous experience in customer service, hospitality, or food and beverage service preferred.
Skills:
Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Certifications:
Must have or be willing to obtain any necessary food handling or alcohol serving certifications as required by local regulations.
Age Requirement:
Must be at least 18 years old.
Other:
Must have a valid drivers license and a clean driving record.
Work Environment:
The Beverage Cart Attendant will spend the majority of their time outdoors on the golf course. This role involves exposure to varying weather conditions and requires flexibility and adaptability.
