Overview Join our dynamic team as a Non-Emergency Medical Transportation Driver and become a vital link in providing safe, reliable, and compassionate transportation services for patients requiring non-emergency medical travel. In this role, you will operate passenger vehicles with professionalism and care, ensuring timely and comfortable journeys for clients to medical appointments, therapy sessions, and other essential destinations. Duties Safely operate passenger vehicles such as vans, shuttle buses, or specialized medical transport vehicles on local routes and scheduled pick-up/drop-off points Assist passengers with boarding, disembarking, and securing mobility aids or medical equipment as needed Maintain clear communication with clients to confirm appointments, provide updates, and address any special needs or concerns Follow all state transportation regulations, traffic laws, and company policies to ensure safety at all times Conduct routine vehicle inspections, basic maintenance checks, and report any mechanical issues promptly Navigate efficiently using GPS systems to adhere to scheduled routes and optimize travel times Handle heavy lifting or manual handling tasks when assisting passengers with mobility challenges or transporting equipment Requirements Proven experience as a delivery driver, bus driver, chauffeur, or shuttle driver; experience in medical transportation is highly preferred Valid driver's license appropriate for the vehicle operated (e.g., CDL for larger vehicles) with a clean driving record Familiarity with GPS navigation systems and local driving routes Strong knowledge of traffic laws, safety regulations, and passenger vehicle operation including passenger vans or paratransit vehicles Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with diverse clients Ability to perform heavy lifting or manual handling safely when assisting passengers or loading equipment Prior experience in customer service roles demonstrating patience and empathy for clients' needs Commitment to maintaining vehicle cleanliness and performing routine maintenance checks regularly Must adhere strictly to all state transportation regulations and company policies for safe driving practices Join us in delivering dependable transportation services that truly make a difference!
