$18-$21/hour , with overtime paid as required by California law About the Position MedBlack Transport is seeking reliable, professional, and compassionate NEMT Drivers to provide safe transportation for ambulatory and wheelchair-bound clients. Trips may include medical appointments, personal outings, one-way and round-trip transportation, and local or long-distance trips . Responsibilities Safely transport clients using company-provided vehicles Provide professional door-through-door assistance Safely load, secure, and transport wheelchair passengers Assist clients with mobility needs Complete local and long-distance trips Be comfortable working shifts of up to 12 hours , when scheduled Use a mobile dispatch application for trip assignments and communication Complete trip documentation and vehicle safety inspections Provide excellent customer service while maintaining client dignity and safety Qualifications Valid California Driver's License and acceptable driving record NEMT experience preferred Long-distance driving experience preferred Bilingual driver preferred, but not required Experience transporting wheelchair passengers is a plus Ability to pass required background check and drug screening Reliable smartphone capable of running dispatch applications Professional, dependable, and punctual Strong communication and customer-service skills Ability to safely assist/push wheelchair passengers up to approximately 200 lbs.
