Job Description

Elderhaus Adult Day Program - Immediate Opening for
Driver Position:
Van Driver - Elderhaus Adult Day Program Reports to:
Transportation Coordinator Hours:
20-24 hours per week, M-F, Split Shift (approx. 6:45-8:45 am; and 2:45-4:45 pm) Attendance at monthly staff meetings is mandatory; 3rd Thursday of the month, 4:30-6:30 pm

Successful new staff members may be eligible for training as direct care staff leading to a full-time position Position Description Safely transport individuals living with dementia, intellectual and developmental disabilities, and other needs to and from their places of residence and Elderhaus Assist clients to and from their front door as needed; assist with safely loading and unloading passengers; assist clients to and from the parking lot and inside the Elderhaus facility; keep vehicle in line of sight at all times when participants are on board Complete paperwork for mileage; sign clients in and out; ensure and document vehicle safety Follow all Elderhaus employee policies and procedures Report any incidents and complete incident report if required (verify with management) Job Requirements Valid driver's license (does NOT require CDL) Pass background check Ability to physically assist participants as needed Reliable and safe Schedule Morning route runs from approximately 6:45 to 8:45 am Afternoon route runs from approximately 2:45 to 4:45 pm Work week is Monday through Friday General Employee Expectations Willingness and ability to work with adults living with dementia and other needs Willingness to learn and to accept direction while working in harmony with staff and participants Stamina, patience, tolerance, with an attitude of concern, kindness, respect Reliable and prompt; attention to detail in order to comply with policies and procedures Personal conduct that enhances the overall professionalism of Elderhaus Willingness to learn and improve professionally
Background Check Required:
All offers of employment are contingent upon successful completion of a criminal background check, in compliance with Colorado HCBS regulations for transportation providers.
