Full Job Description Position Overview:
This position requires strong attention to detail, technical proficiency, and a commitment to delivering exceptional service to our partners. As a DME Technician, you will be responsible for providing technical services for medical equipment, such as cold compression therapy units, OTC, and other durable medical equipment used for medical and rehabilitation purpose.Responsibilities:
Complete the necessary paperwork, including daily delivery logs, pick-up and delivery forms, and vehicle maintenance logs. Loads and unloads durable medical equipment on delivery vehicle. Measure and fit patients with off-the-shelf orthopedic braces and devices. Ensure the proper fitting and adjustment of equipment to maximize patient comfort and functionality Perform equipment setups and installations at patient residences according to established protocols and guidelines. Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the logistics team to ensure adequate stock of medical equipment. Provide training and support to patients and caregivers on the proper/safe use and care of durable medical equipment. Maintain accurate records of equipment inventory, repairs, and service requests. Collaborate with internal teams to address client needs and resolve any equipment-related issues promptly. Perform the proper cleaning, disinfecting and maintenance to DME items both in the office and in the field to ensure compliance with safety and infection control standards Adhere to all safety protocols, regulations, and procedures while operating company vehicle, handling and servicing medical equipment.Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in medical equipment repair or related field preferred. Preferred knowledge in anatomy, kinesiology, physiology, or orthopedics. Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical manuals and equipment specifications Prior experience in DME operations, equipment maintenance, or healthcare settings is desirable. Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Computer literacy (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook; Google Docs) Must be able to lift 50 pounds on a daily basisBilingual English-Spanish Application Process:
