The Role:
As a Hospital Liaison, you serve as the vital bridge between Hurley Medical Center's clinical teams, external Durable Medical Equipment (DME) vendors, patients, and insurance providers.
Schedule:
Monday-Friday | 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM What We're Looking For High school diploma or equivalent. 2-3 years of experience in a healthcare setting. Prior experience with Durable Medical Equipment (DME) is highly preferred. What You'll Be Doing Process DME referrals and inquiries in a timely and accurate manner. Manage the coordination, authorization, and timely delivery/setup of medical equipment directly to the patient's room or home. Perform on-site education for patients and caregivers regarding the safe and proper use of prescribed equipment. Verify patient insurance coverage and eligibility. Build and maintain strong, positive relationships with hospital staff, acting as the primary point of contact for all DME-related workflows.
Physical Requirements:
Frequent walking and standing plus occasional lifting, transporting, or demonstrating of medical equipment (up to 30-50 lbs).
