Duties Safely operate passenger vehicles including vans, shuttle buses, or specialized medical transport vans on local routes, ensuring timely arrivals at scheduled appointments. Assist clients with boarding and disembarking, providing compassionate support and ensuring comfort throughout the journey. Maintain clear communication with clients regarding pick-up times, route details, and any schedule changes to ensure smooth operations. Conduct routine vehicle inspections and basic maintenance checks to guarantee safety and reliability of the transportation fleet. Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, state transportation regulations, and company policies during daily operations. Manage GPS navigation systems effectively to follow optimized routes while adjusting for traffic or road conditions. Document trip details accurately, including mileage logs, client information, and incident reports if necessary. Experience Prior experience as a delivery driver, bus driver, shuttle driver, or chauffeur driving passenger vehicles is highly preferred. Demonstrated ability to operate various types of passenger vehicles such as vans or limousines with professionalism and safety awareness. Experience with GPS navigation tools and local driving routes to ensure efficient scheduling. Knowledge of manual handling techniques for assisting clients with mobility challenges or heavy lifting requirements. Familiarity with medical transportation protocols and client communication skills are advantageous. Valid driver's license appropriate for the vehicle type being operated; clean driving record required. Understanding of state transportation regulations and safety standards related to passenger vehicle operation is essential.
