Duties Safely operate passenger vans, shuttle buses, or personal vehicles to transport clients to medical appointments, therapy sessions, or other non-emergency destinations. Follow designated local driving routes while adhering to all traffic laws and state transportation regulations. Assist clients with boarding and disembarking vehicles, providing support for those with mobility challenges or special needs. Maintain vehicle cleanliness, perform routine inspections, and report any maintenance issues promptly to ensure safety standards are met. Communicate effectively with clients to confirm appointments, provide updates on schedules, and address any special requirements or concerns. Ensure timely pickups and drop-offs by managing schedules efficiently and navigating using GPS navigation tools. Handle heavy lifting when necessary, such as assisting clients with mobility aids or loading medical equipment safely. Requirements Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience in commercial driving or passenger vehicle operation is highly preferred. Proven experience as a delivery driver, bus driver, shuttle driver, limousine chauffeur, or similar role involving passenger transport. Knowledge of local driving routes, GPS navigation systems, and adherence to traffic regulations and state transportation laws. Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely and lift heavy items when required. Excellent communication skills for client interaction and client communication documentation. Strong customer service orientation with a friendly, professional demeanor. Prior experience in medical transportation or paratransit services is a plus but not required; training will be provided if needed.
