Job Description
Job Summary Join our dynamic delivery team as a Delivery Truck Helper, where your energy and enthusiasm will drive success! In this vital role, you'll assist with loading, unloading, and delivering goods to customers efficiently and safely. Your positive attitude and strong work ethic will ensure timely deliveries while providing excellent customer service. This position offers an engaging opportunity to be part of a fast-paced environment that values teamwork, safety, and reliability. This position starts at 2:00am and ends when the route is complete - days typically last from 8-12 hours. Responsibilities Assist the delivery driver with loading and unloading cases of milk using equipment such as pallet jacks and hand trucks when necessary. Support the driver in navigating routes safely and accurately, following all traffic laws and safety protocols. Unload trucks manually or with equipment, handling heavy lifting with proper technique to prevent injury. Ensure cargo is secured properly to prevent damage during transit and delivery. Provide friendly, professional customer service upon delivery, answering questions and assisting customers as needed. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the truck interior and work area to promote safety and efficiency. Skills Strong customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor. Previous warehouse experience or familiarity with loading/unloading procedures. Comfortability with heavy lifting. Proven delivery experience, including route driving and load management. Ability to perform heavy lifting and moving tasks safely and effectively. Knowledge of pallet jack, hand truck, or other warehouse equipment is a plus. Comfortable working in physically demanding environments requiring manual labor. Attention to detail for verifying deliveries and maintaining accurate logs.
