This position offers an exciting opportunity to positively impact individuals' health and well-being by ensuring they arrive at appointments comfortably and on time. As a key member of our transportation network, you will operate a company vehicle with professionalism, adhere to all traffic and safety regulations, and deliver exceptional customer service every day. Duties Safely operate vehicles including vans, shuttles in compliance with local and state transportation regulations. Transport clients to medical appointments, therapy sessions, pharmacies, and other essential destinations while maintaining punctuality. Assist passengers with boarding and alighting, providing support for those with mobility challenges or special needs. Conduct routine vehicle inspections, perform basic maintenance checks, and keep vehicles clean and well-maintained for daily use. Communicate effectively with clients to confirm schedules, provide updates, and address any special requirements or concerns. Follow GPS navigation routes accurately to ensure timely arrivals across local routes. Maintain detailed logs of trips, mileage, fuel consumption, and vehicle condition reports for operational records. Skills Strong knowledge of GPS navigation systems and ability to plan efficient routes within local areas.
Passenger Assistance Training :
Training in Passenger Assistance, Safety Sensitivity(PASS), and wheelchair securement. Required.
First Aid and CPR:
current certification Familiarity with manual handling techniques for assisting passengers with mobility aids or heavy lifting needs. Knowledge of state transportation regulations related to passenger vehicle operation and safety standards. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with diverse clients. Ability to operate passenger vans safely while adhering to traffic laws and company policies. Strong communication skills for client interaction and coordination with dispatch or support teams.
Employment Conditions:
Sucessfully pass and maintain a criminal background check in accordance with company policy and applicable regulations. Successfully pass and maintain required drug screenings in accordance with company policy. Successfully pass and maintain any required physical examination to ensure the ability to safely perform the essential functions of the position.
