Job Description
Position Summary Kidze and Tebebi LLC is seeking a dependable, professional, and customer-focused individual to support its Home Sleep Apnea Testing program. The employee will coordinate retrieval of testing equipment after patients complete their prescribed testing period and provide telephone assistance to patients experiencing basic equipment setup or connection issues. This mobile position requires a reliable vehicle and an active cell phone. Work hours will vary based on patient schedules, equipment retrieval needs, and incoming customer-support calls. Primary Responsibilities Equipment Retrieval and Transportation Contact patients and coordinate convenient equipment pickup times. Pick up home sleep apnea testing equipment after the assigned testing period is completed. Confirm that all equipment, accessories, carrying cases, paperwork, and reusable components are returned. Safely transport equipment to the designated Kidze and Tebebi LLC processing or storage location. Maintain accurate pickup records, including patient reference number, pickup date and time, equipment identification number, and condition of returned equipment. Immediately report missing, damaged, contaminated, or malfunctioning equipment to management. Protect equipment from loss, theft, damage, extreme temperatures, and unauthorized access while in the employee's possession. Keep returned or potentially unclean equipment separated from equipment already cleaned and prepared for use. Customer and Technical Support Answer customer-service calls from patients who need help connecting, placing, or using their home sleep testing equipment. Explain basic equipment setup using company-approved instructions, manuals, scripts, and troubleshooting procedures. Assist with common non-clinical issues, including device connection, sensor placement, power status, indicator lights, and basic monitoring questions. Remain patient, courteous, and professional when assisting elderly, disabled, or frustrated patients. Escalate unresolved equipment problems, medical questions, abnormal symptoms, or urgent concerns to the appropriate trained technician, supervisor, healthcare provider, or emergency service. Document each call, the issue reported, troubleshooting provided, resolution, and any required follow-up. Return missed technical-support calls promptly and comply with required response standards. Kidze and Tebebi LLC | Part-Time Home Sleep Testing Equipment Support Position Administrative Responsibilities Maintain a daily log of equipment pickups, attempted pickups, completed calls, unresolved issues, and follow up actions. Submit required records to the Program Manager according to company procedures. Notify management promptly when a patient cannot be reached or equipment is unavailable for retrieval. Follow chain-of-custody procedures for all equipment. Maintain confidentiality of patient information and comply with HIPAA, privacy, and company security requirements. Use only company-approved communication methods when discussing patient or testing information. Attend required training on equipment operation, troubleshooting, customer service, privacy, safety, and documentation. Follow all Kidze and Tebebi LLC policies and applicable Department of Veterans Affairs requirements. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent and at least 18 years of age. Valid driver's license, reliable personal vehicle, current registration, and automobile insurance. Reliable cell phone capable of receiving calls, text messages, and email. Ability to travel throughout Poplar Bluff and surrounding service areas. Strong communication, customer-service, organization, and recordkeeping skills. Ability to follow written equipment instructions and troubleshooting procedures. Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently. Ability to pass any required background screening, credentialing, privacy training, or facility-access requirements. Preferred Qualifications Previous customer-service, delivery, courier, healthcare support, home medical equipment, technical-support, or patient-service experience. Experience assisting elderly patients or veterans. Familiarity with home medical devices, sleep-testing equipment, or remote patient-monitoring technology. Basic knowledge of HIPAA and patient confidentiality. CPR or Basic Life Support certification is beneficial but not required unless later designated by the company. Physical and Transportation Requirements Regularly drive to patient locations and safely operate a personal vehicle in varying traffic and weather conditions. Safely lift and carry equipment packages weighing approximately 25 pounds. Enter and exit a vehicle repeatedly during scheduled pickup routes. Use a cell phone and basic electronic recordkeeping applications. Work occasional evenings, weekends, or irregular hours based on patient needs. Important Scope Limitation This is a non-clinical support position. The employee may provide only company-approved equipment setup and troubleshooting assistance. The employee may not diagnose medical conditions, interpret sleep-study results, provide medical advice, alter a physician's instructions, or represent themselves as a licensed healthcare professional. Medical questions or urgent symptoms must be referred immediately to the appropriate medical professional or emergency service.
