Full Job Description Job Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Transport Driver to join our team. As a Transport Driver, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently transporting pediatric passengers or goods to their destinations. This position requires excellent communication skills, a valid Texas Driver's License, and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service to our pediatric patients. Our drivers work split shifts to bring our patients to the day center and then return them home at the end of their day.Duties:
- Safely operate para-transit vehicles to transport our pediatric patients to our day center and return them home at the end of their day.
- Transport pediatric passengers to designated locations in a timely manner
- Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while driving
- Maintain cleanliness and perform routine maintenance checks on vehicles
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting passengers with boarding, unloading, and answering any questions they may have
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers or supervisors to report any issues or delays
Requirements:
- Valid Texas Driver's License with good driving record
- Previous experience in school bus driving, para-transit services, delivery driving, or similar roles is preferred
- Excellent communication skills to interact with passengers and team members
- Ability to maintain a clean driving record and pass regular drug and alcohol screenings
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws and safety regulations
- Ability to lift heavy objects and load/unload cargo as needed
