Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Non-Emergency Medical Transportation Driver to join our team! In this vital role, you will provide safe, reliable, and compassionate transportation services for clients requiring non-emergency medical travel. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure timely pickups and drop-offs while maintaining excellent customer service and adhering to all transportation regulations. This position offers an opportunity to make a positive impact on our clients' lives by delivering dependable transportation solutions with professionalism and care. Duties Safely operate passenger vans, shuttle buses, or other authorized vehicles to transport clients to medical appointments, therapy sessions, or other destinations. Follow prescribed routes using GPS navigation systems and adhere strictly to local and state transportation regulations. Assist clients with boarding and exiting vehicles, providing support for those with mobility challenges or special needs. Conduct routine vehicle inspections, perform basic maintenance checks, and ensure vehicles are clean and well-maintained. Communicate effectively with clients, healthcare providers, and dispatch staff to coordinate schedules and address any concerns promptly. Manage heavy lifting when necessary for loading mobility aids or luggage while ensuring safety protocols are followed. Maintain accurate logs of trips, mileage, fuel usage, and client interactions in compliance with company policies. Requirements Prior experience as a delivery driver, bus driver, shuttle driver, or chauffeur driving is highly preferred. Valid driver's license appropriate for operating passenger vehicles; commercial driver's license (CDL) or chauffeur license is a plus. Proven ability to operate various passenger vehicles such as vans, limousines, or medical transport vans safely and responsibly. Strong knowledge of GPS navigation tools and local driving routes to ensure efficient service delivery. Familiarity with medical transportation regulations and client communication best practices. Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with diverse clients and team members. Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including heavy lifting of mobility aids or luggage when required. Knowledge of vehicle maintenance basics and adherence to safety standards is essential. Valid state transportation permits or certifications required by local laws; experience in paratransit or heavy-duty commercial driving is advantageous. Pay:
$25.00 - $35.00 per hour Expected hours: 25.0 - 40.0 per week
