Job Description

Responsible for the safe operation of a motor coach bus while transporting Weatherford College students and staff to and from events off campus. Responsible for other driving assignments as needed. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Must be able to sit for extended periods of time while driving a vehicle. Must be able to maneuver around vehicles to inspect them. Must be able lift 21 - 50 pounds in order to assist passengers entering and exiting the bus. Must possess Class A or B CDL with passenger endorsement. Ability to treat all persons with respect, dignity and justice, without discrimination based upon age, sex, race, color, religion, national origin, disability, veteran status, genetic information, sexual orientation or gender identity; ability to exercise the highest professional and ethical standards in the use of College time and resources and observe the stated policies and procedures of the College. Requirements High School Diploma or equivalent Class A or B Texas Commercial Driver License with passenger endorsement required. Must be able to pass DOT required physical exams. Experience driving large motor coach on inter-state & out of state trips. Experience driving large commercial passenger vehicles. Knowledge of applicable motor vehicle laws.
