Overview Join our dynamic team as a Box Truck Driver and become a vital part of our logistics operation! In this energetic role, you will be responsible for safely transporting freight, delivering goods efficiently, and ensuring all cargo is handled with care. Your expertise in commercial truck driving, route navigation, and cargo handling will help us meet our delivery commitments while maintaining the highest safety standards. Duties Safely operate box trucks and tractor-trailers on local, regional, or over-the-road (OTR) routes, adhering to all DOT (Department of Transportation) and FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations. Load and unload freight using manual handling techniques, ensuring proper cargo securing to prevent damage during transit. Navigate routes efficiently using GPS navigation systems to meet delivery schedules while optimizing travel time. Transport refrigerated trailers, hazardous materials (Hazmat), or other specialized cargo such as tanker or flatbed loads when required. Deliver freight to designated locations with precision, providing excellent customer service and professional communication. Maintain accurate delivery logs, inspection reports, and compliance documentation related to truck loading/unloading and cargo handling. Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after trips to ensure safety standards are met and report any mechanical issues promptly. Skills Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including delivery driving with box trucks or tractor-trailers. Knowledge of refrigerated trailer operations, hazardous materials regulations, and dangerous goods handling. Skilled in route planning using GPS navigation tools for efficient deliveries across multiple locations. Ability to load & unload freight safely using manual handling techniques; familiarity with truck loading/unloading procedures. Strong understanding of DOT, FMCSA, hazardous materials regulations, and safety compliance standards. Experience with manual transmission trucks and tractor-trailer operations preferred.
