Professional Mover / Driver New Roots Movers | Volusia County, FL New Roots Movers is a growing local moving company specializing in residential moves, including helping seniors transition into and out of senior living communities. We are looking for a dependable, hardworking Professional Mover / Driver to join our team. This is a hands-on position that combines driving, moving, packing, customer service, and teamwork . The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, treats customers and their belongings with care, and can work efficiently in a physically demanding environment. Responsibilities Safely drive and operate company moving trucks Load, unload, carry, and transport furniture, boxes, and household belongings Wrap and protect furniture, floors, walls, and doorways Pack and unpack customer belongings as needed Disassemble and reassemble furniture when necessary Use dollies, ramps, straps, moving blankets, and other moving equipment Communicate professionally and courteously with customers Place furniture and belongings according to customer instructions Work efficiently while maintaining a high standard of care Maintain a clean, organized, and safe truck and work area Follow company safety procedures and proper lifting techniques Work effectively with teammates and represent New Roots Movers professionally Requirements Valid driver's license and safe driving record Ability to safely drive a moving truck Reliable and punctual Strong work ethic and positive attitude Professional appearance and customer-service skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Ability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs. and safely move heavier items with assistance Comfortable working on your feet, climbing stairs, and working in Florida heat Willingness to work occasional weekends Previous moving, delivery, furniture, warehouse, or customer-service experience is a plus, but not required. We will train the right person.
