Job Description:
Job SummaryWe are looking for hardworking, physically fit, and reliable Assistant Relocation Engineers to join our moving crew. This hands-on role focuses on the actual physical work of safely and efficiently transporting, loading, unloading, and handling household goods and office furniture during residential and commercial relocations. You will work directly on-site as part of a team to make moves smooth, damage-free, and on schedule.

Key ResponsibilitiesPhysically load, unload, and transport furniture, boxes, appliances, and other household/office items using dollies, hand trucks, straps, blankets, and other moving equipment.

Disassemble and reassemble beds, furniture, and shelving units as needed.

Carefully pad, wrap, and protect all items to prevent damage during transit.

Navigate stairs, tight spaces, elevators, and outdoor conditions while carrying or maneuvering heavy items.

Work as part of a crew to complete moves efficiently while maintaining high safety standards.

Perform pre-move and post-move inventories and condition checks.

Assist with packing and unpacking at client locations when required.

Keep the moving truck, tools, and equipment clean and organized.

Provide friendly, professional service to clients on moving day and address basic questions or concerns.

Follow all safety procedures to protect yourself, your team members, clients property, and the public.

Requirements & QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent (not required).Previous experience in moving, furniture handling, warehouse work, construction, or any physically demanding role is preferred.

Ability to repeatedly lift, carry, and maneuver items weighing 75100+ lbs.

Good physical stamina and ability to work long hours on your feet.

Reliable transportation and punctuality.

Valid drivers license with a clean record (CDL is a plus).Strong attention to detail and care for customers belongings.

Team player with a positive attitude and good communication skills.

Willingness to work flexible schedules, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and occasional long days.

Preferred SkillsExperience with large or delicate items (pianos, glass, antiques, etc.).Basic furniture assembly/disassembly knowledge.

Familiarity with operating a box truck or moving van.

Previous professional moving company experience.
