Detroit Metro / Romulus, MI Full-Time | Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM $40,000-$55,000/year, depending on qualifications and experience We're looking for someone who wants to learn, take on responsibility, and grow into a leadership position. You do not need moving experience. You'll start by working alongside our moving crew and learning the business from the ground up. As you become more comfortable with the operation, you'll take on increasing responsibility, with the goal of becoming a full-fledged Operations Lead within approximately one year. As the Operations Lead, you'll eventually help run the day-to-day moving operation, coordinate crews, and determine which crew members go to which jobs and when. This is a hands-on leadership role . You'll be expected to lead from the front and work alongside the crew—not just manage from an office. What You'll Do You'll learn and eventually take responsibility for a wide range of moving operations, including: Packing customers' belongings Loading and unloading trucks Picking up and delivering household goods Driving company cargo vans Assembling and disassembling furniture Communicating with customers and calling before arrival Completing moving paperwork and taking inventory Working in the warehouse Inspecting goods for damage Assisting with moving estimates Picking up commercial goods Preparing commercial goods for shipment Palletizing household and commercial goods Working alongside and eventually leading moving crews Assigning crew members to jobs and coordinating where and when crews need to be Helping manage the day-to-day moving operation What We're Looking For We're looking for someone who is: Fluent in spoken Japanese Able to read and write basic Japanese Able to drive Dependable and responsible Professional and polite when working with customers Willing to learn and take on new responsibilities Flexible and comfortable wearing multiple hats Comfortable with hands-on, physical work Interested in growing into a leadership role No moving experience is required, and no college degree is required. We'll train the right person on our moving operations, equipment, vehicles, and procedures. This Job Is Hands-On This isn't a traditional office management position. You'll work in customer homes, warehouses, trucks, and the office. You'll pack boxes, move furniture, load trucks, drive, palletize goods, handle paperwork, and help wherever you're needed. We're looking for someone who is not afraid to get their hands dirty , takes responsibility, and wants to grow into someone who can lead the operation. Physical Requirements Must be able to lift and carry approximately 66 lbs Must be able to safely carry household goods, furniture, and boxes up and down stairs Must be comfortable performing physical work throughout the day Schedule Monday-Friday 8:00 AM-5:00 PM 40 hours per week Overtime may be available on particularly busy days Compensation $40,000-$55,000 per year , depending on qualifications and experience.
