In this energetic role, you will be the vital link between our company and satisfied customers by delivering furniture safely, efficiently, and with a smile. Your expertise in driving, manual handling, and customer service will ensure each delivery is smooth, timely, and exceeds expectations. Duties Safely operate various delivery vehicles, including box trucks and personal vehicles, adhering to all traffic regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards. Load, unload, and transport furniture items using proper manual handling techniques and material handling equipment such as pallet jacks. Ensure accurate route driving by planning efficient delivery schedules and navigating effectively using mobile devices. Deliver furniture to customer locations with professionalism, ensuring items are handled with care to prevent damage. Assemble furniture on-site following provided instructions, ensuring stability and safety for the end user. Interact courteously with customers, providing excellent customer service by answering questions and addressing concerns during delivery. Maintain safety standards during manual lifting, moving heavy items, and operating warehouse operations equipment to prevent injuries. Skills Proven warehouse experience with familiarity in material handling equipment operation such as pallet jacks. Commercial driving experience with a valid driver's license for box trucks or personal vehicles; experience with manual transmission is a plus. Strong background in delivery driver roles, including load & unload procedures and adhering to traffic regulations. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally. Knowledge of warehouse operations, heavy lifting techniques, safe lifting practices, and weight handling in the workplace. Ability to operate mobile devices for route navigation and delivery documentation efficiently. Experience with courier or driver roles involving route driving, moving furniture, and managing multiple deliveries safely.
