A Mover helps transport furniture and belongings from one place to another. Responsibilities include packing furniture, loading and unloading from vehicles. They may be responsible for driving a vehicle as part of their service, ensuring the safe delivery of client furniture and belongings.
Beyond TalentEdge has partnered with a local college in search of Furniture Movers to join their team.
Responsibilities:
Load, transport, and unload furniture, equipment, and supplies safely and efficiently Set up and break down rooms for meetings, events, or classroom reconfigurations Assemble and disassemble furniture, including desks, chairs, shelving, and modular units Assist with office or department moves, including packing and unpacking as needed Safely operate moving equipment such as dollies, hand trucks, and carts Follow proper lifting techniques and adhere to all safety protocols Communicate effectively with supervisors and campus staff to coordinate move logistic. Perform basic maintenance or cleaning of furniture and moving equipment
Requirements and Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks for extended periods Capable of standing and performing physical tasks for extended periods throughout the shift. Comfortable working in diverse environmental conditions, including warm or non-climate-controlled areas of the campus. Attention to detail and strong time-management skills Ability to work independently and follow instructions Previous experience in moving, warehouse, or manual labor roles is a plus Strong teamwork, communication, and customer service skills.

$16.50 per hour
Schedule:
