Position Overview:
As a Mover with our moving company, you will play a key role in ensuring successful moves from start to finish. This position involves physical labor, safe handling of items, customer interaction, and occasional driving responsibilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, be comfortable with travel, and take pride in delivering excellent service.
Key Responsibilities:
Safely load, unload, and transport household goods, office equipment, and furniture. Pack, wrap, and protect items using proper moving techniques and materials to prevent damage. Disassemble and reassemble furniture and equipment as needed. Operate company vehicles when assigned, following all safety and traffic regulations. Travel to various job sites (local and long-distance moves), including overnight travel when required. Work collaboratively with team members to ensure efficiency, safety, and customer satisfaction. Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with clients. Conduct pre- and post-move inspections to ensure items are accounted for and handled properly. Adhere to safety procedures to prevent injury or damage to property. Assist in maintaining moving equipment, tools, and vehicles in good working condition. Must be willing to work on the weekends as needed
Requirements:
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (required). Reliable transportation to and from the office or job site. Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull heavy items (75+ lbs) repeatedly and safely. Willingness to travel frequently, including overnight and out-of-state assignments. Strong teamwork and communication skills. Dependable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours, including weekends when needed. Previous moving, warehouse, or general labor experience is a plus but not required we will train the right candidate.
