P-3 Pilot Instructor Jacksonville D2 Government Solutions - 2.7 Jacksonville, FL Job Details Full-time 16 hours ago Qualifications Flight simulator instruction Safety regulations Flying aircraft English Communication platforms Collaborative technology platforms Productivity software Avionics Teaching experience within aviation industry Full Job Description D2 Government Solutions is seeking a full time qualified candidate for P-3 Pilot Instructor at our National Air Training Center - East / OpSTAR Support Services location in Jacksonville, Florida. Responsibilities Provide classroom and simulator instruction on P-3 Orion aircraft systems, normal flight procedures, emergency procedures, and P-3 pilot operations. Evaluate P-3 pilot students on aircraft/flight operations, risk management, crew coordination, and positional skills in accordance with CBP/AMO policies. Demonstrate normal and emergency maneuvers and procedures in the P-3 Operational Flight Simulator consistent with the P-3 Operators Manual and AMO evaluation practices. Create realistic, experience-appropriate flight-training scenarios for crews of varying experience levels. Assist in developing and updating lesson plans, training materials, theoretical examinations, simulator scenarios, grade sheets, and study materials. Create, administer, grade, file, and upload systems quizzes and systems/procedures exams to OpSTAR as required. Coordinate training-event calendars for PIC and SIC students and support proficiency certification for AMO-owned P-3 simulator users. Qualifications At least 3 years as an Instructor Pilot in P-3 aircraft; experience must be recent, no more than 2 years prior to hire. Strong understanding of aviation regulations, safety protocols, P-3 operations, and simulator instruction. Comprehensive knowledge of the P-3 Orion's avionics, navigation systems, engines, mission equipment, and aircraft systems. Familiarity with instructing in a flight simulator environment preferred. FAA Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) and Certified Flight Instructor Instrument (CFII) certificate or military equivalent qualification preferred.
