Job Overview Metro Professional Services, a distinguished 8(a) Woman-Owned Small Business (WOSB) specializing in professional services, aircrew training, and IT support, is seeking a highly qualified Site Lead / Lead Instructor Pilot to support a contract opportunity providing HH-60W Aircrew Conversion Training at Joint Base Andrews, Maryland . The Site Lead / Lead Instructor will serve as the on-site leader responsible for the day-to-day execution of the training program , direct supervision of the instructor cadre, and the quality, consistency, and standardization of instruction. The successful candidate must meet or exceed all HH-60W Instructor Pilot qualifications and possess a minimum of three (3) years of supervisory or management experience in a flight-training environment . Key Responsibilities The selected candidate will: Serve as the primary on-site leader for the HH-60W Aircrew Conversion Training program. Manage day-to-day execution of flight and aircrew training requirements. Directly supervise and provide leadership to the assigned instructor cadre. Ensure the quality and standardization of instruction across the training program. Perform duties as a qualified Instructor Pilot as required. Ensure training is conducted safely and in accordance with applicable Government directives, courseware, procedures, and contractual requirements. Coordinate instructor schedules, student requirements, flight-training activities, and available resources. Monitor student progression and identify areas requiring additional or remedial instruction. Evaluate instructor performance and provide mentoring, feedback, and corrective guidance as appropriate. Ensure training records, evaluations, documentation, and reports are accurate and completed within required timelines. Coordinate with Government representatives concerning training schedules, personnel, operational requirements, and program performance. Support standardization/evaluation activities, training reviews, meetings, and other program requirements. Maintain a professional, safe, and mission-focused flight-training environment. Identify and communicate issues affecting training quality, safety, scheduling, or mission accomplishment. Required Flight Experience & Instructor Qualifications Candidates must meet the following requirements: Minimum 1,000 flight hours in any combination of H-60 or S-70 aircraft . Minimum 300 hours as a certified Instructor Pilot or Special Mission Aviator (SMA) in any aircraft. Formal documentation demonstrating current or previous instrument qualification as required by the program. Successful completion of a formal Crew Resource Management (CRM) course. Qualification in Night Vision Goggle (NVG) operations . Demonstrated HH-60W systems proficiency through successful completion of an HH-60W systems familiarization course of instruction or equivalent Government-approved training . Current and valid FAA Class II Medical Certificate or military equivalent . Ability to meet all applicable Government flight, training, medical, and installation requirements. Site Lead Experience Requirements In addition to meeting all Instructor Pilot requirements, the Site Lead / Lead Instructor must possess: Minimum three (3) years of supervisory or management experience in a flight-training environment . Demonstrated experience supervising or leading aviation instructors, aircrew personnel, or flight-training operations. Strong understanding of military aviation training and instructional methodologies. Demonstrated ability to manage instructor personnel, training schedules, student progression, and competing operational requirements. Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and decision-making skills. National Capital Region Airspace Requirements Because flight operations will occur within the National Capital Region (NCR) , candidates must be current and qualified on applicable NCR airspace procedures, including: Flight Restricted Zone (FRZ) requirements. Special Flight Rules Area (SFRA) requirements. Other applicable FAA-mandated NCR flight procedures and training. Candidates who are not currently NCR-qualified must successfully complete all required Government-administered training and qualification requirements before beginning instruction . Highly Desired Qualifications The following qualifications are highly desired but are not mandatory : Graduate of Advanced Instrument School (AIS) . Current FAA Certified Flight Instructor - Instrument (CFII) rating. Previous HH-60W Jolly Green II flight or instructional experience. Previous military Instructor Pilot or Evaluator Pilot experience. Previous experience as a Flight Commander, Chief Pilot, Standardization/Evaluation instructor, or similar aviation leadership position. Experience managing formal military aircrew training or aircraft conversion programs. Previous U.S. Air Force rotary-wing training experience.
