REACH Medical Holdings seeks a Helicopter Pilot to support single-pilot IFR helicopter air ambulance (HAA) missions across California and the Western U.S. In this role, you will fly emergency and interfacility transports, often in time-critical, high-acuity situations. You will operate IFR-certified aircraft, perform thorough preflight and postflight checks, and adhere to FAA, company, and SMS safety standards. Working closely with flight nurses, medics, dispatch, and partner agencies, you'll maintain mission readiness, participate in ongoing training, and uphold REACH's safety-driven, mission-focused culture. Responsibilities Operate IFR-certified helicopters for emergency and interfacility medical transports in varied weather and terrain conditions Ensure strict adherence to FAA, company, and safety management system (SMS) standards on every mission Coordinate closely with medical crew, dispatch, and ground partners to plan and execute safe, efficient flights Conduct thorough preflight, inflight, and postflight inspections and complete required flight documentation Participate in ongoing simulator, instrument, and emergency procedure training and proficiency checks Maintain readiness for rapid response, including night operations and SPIFR missions Support a culture of safety, professionalism, and mission focus while representing REACH to partner agencies Required Skills IFR helicopter operations Instrument flight procedures Air medical/EMS operations Aviation safety and SMS compliance Crew resource management (CRM) Night and NVG flight (preferred) Emergency procedures and risk assessment Flight planning and navigation systems Radio and aviation communication Regulatory compliance (FAA Part 135/HAA)
