Richmond/Rodeo Area Location:

This position serves clients throughout Contra Costa County. The role is not limited to Walnut Creek, Richmond, or Rodeo only.

Schedule:

Flexible, Day Schedule

• must be able to complete hours between 8:30am and 6pm.

As an Independent Living Instructor, you'll work one-on-one with clients in their homes and communities—helping them master essential life skills like personal care, health maintenance, social engagement, money management, and more.

What You'll Do:

• Build strong, respectful relationships with clients
• Teach everyday life skills with patience, care, and cultural sensitivity
• Support clients with appointments, social events, errands, and community access — including providing transportation when needed
• Champion independence, empowerment, and self-advocacy
• Keep clear, timely records and collaborate with a supportive team
• Be part of a mission that truly matters

What You Bring:

• A heart for service and a passion for helping others grow
• At least 6 months of experience in human services or supporting people with disabilities
• Strong communication and organization skills
• Fluency in English or Spanish (bilingual preferred)
• High school diploma or

GED Must Haves:

• Valid CA driver's license, reliable & insured vehicle, and clean driving record
• Willingness to drive clients to medical appointments, social outings, and other essential activities
• Willingness to obtain CPR/First Aid certification (if not already certified)
