Job Overview Join our team as a Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) Driver and become a vital part of providing safe, reliable, and compassionate transportation services for individuals requiring medical appointments, hospital discharges, or other essential travel needs. In this energetic role, you will operate passenger vehicles with professionalism and care, ensuring clients arrive comfortably and on time. Your dedication will help improve the quality of life for those who depend on accessible transportation while adhering to all safety and traffic regulations. Responsibilities Safely operate passenger vans, shuttle buses, or personal vehicles to transport clients to medical appointments, hospitals, or community locations. Maintain a friendly and professional demeanor, providing excellent customer service and clear communication with clients throughout their journey. Follow GPS navigation and local driving routes efficiently to ensure timely arrivals while adhering to all state transportation regulations. Conduct routine vehicle inspections and basic maintenance checks to ensure safety and operational readiness. Assist passengers with boarding and exiting vehicles, including those with mobility challenges or special needs, practicing proper manual handling techniques. Keep accurate logs of trips, mileage, and client interactions for compliance and reporting purposes. Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and team members to coordinate schedules and address any issues promptly. Requirements Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience in delivery driving, bus driving, chauffeur driving or shuttle driving is highly preferred. Proven experience operating passenger vehicles such as vans, limousines, or shuttle buses; familiarity with passenger van operation is a plus. Strong knowledge of GPS navigation systems and local driving routes to optimize trip efficiency. Ability to perform manual handling tasks and heavy lifting when assisting passengers or loading equipment. Experience in medical transportation or client communication roles is advantageous. Adherence to traffic laws and safety protocols at all times; understanding of state transportation regulations is essential. Excellent communication skills with the ability to provide friendly customer service in diverse settings. Reliable vehicle maintenance skills to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations.
