Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Assisted Living Transport Driver to join our compassionate team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for safely transporting residents to medical appointments, errands, social activities, and other destinations within the local community. Your friendly demeanor and reliable driving skills will ensure residents experience comfortable, timely, and respectful transportation services. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of seniors and individuals requiring assisted living support, all while maintaining a professional and positive attitude. Duties Safely operate passenger vehicles, including vans, shuttle buses, and personal vehicles, adhering strictly to traffic laws and state transportation regulations Transport residents to medical appointments, shopping trips, recreational activities, and other scheduled destinations within local routes Assist residents with boarding and disembarking vehicles, providing support for those with mobility challenges or special needs Conduct routine vehicle inspections and basic maintenance checks to ensure safety and operational readiness Communicate effectively with residents, clients, and team members to coordinate schedules and address any special requirements or concerns Follow all safety protocols related to manual handling and heavy lifting when assisting residents or handling luggage or mobility aids Maintain accurate records of trips, mileage logs, and vehicle maintenance reports Skills Proven experience as a delivery driver, bus driver, chauffeur, or shuttle driver with a strong understanding of passenger vehicle operation Familiarity with GPS navigation systems for efficient route planning and real-time directions Knowledge of local driving routes along with adherence to traffic regulations and state transportation laws Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and compassionately with residents and clients Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely while assisting passengers or managing luggage Experience in medical transportation or paratransit services is highly desirable Strong communication skills for client interaction and team coordination Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge to identify issues early and ensure safety standards are met Join us in delivering exceptional transportation services that enhance the quality of life for our residents!
