Job Summary M-F 7:30am-2:30pm Join our dedicated team as a Community Support Professional, where your passion for empowering individuals with disabilities will make a meaningful difference every day. In this vital role, you will provide personalized support to clients with diverse needs, including those with autism, developmental disabilities, and neurodevelopmental disorders. Your energetic and compassionate approach will foster independence, promote social engagement, and enhance quality of life within the community. Community inclusion includes, volunteering and recreational experiences. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills while making a positive impact in people's lives through direct support and care. Duties Support clients during community outings, using standard passenger cars or personal transportation methods Collect and document data related to client progress, behaviors, and service plans accurately and consistently Support clients with cognitive disabilities by promoting skill development and independence in community settings Skills Experience working with individuals with autism, intellectual disabilities, or neurodevelopmental disorders Knowledge of special education principles and practices in supporting diverse learning needs Ability to operate a standard passenger car safely and responsibly for client transportation Experience in various settings Excellent client communication skills, demonstrating patience, empathy, and active listening First aid and CPR certification to ensure safety during client interactions Reliable attendance Reliable transportation Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time Be able to remain engaged with a group of 5-8 adults while in the community. Reliable driving skills with a clean driving record Capable of collecting accurate data related to client progress and service delivery Compassionate caregiving skills tailored to individuals with disabilities or cognitive challenges This role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to support others while developing valuable skills in social services.
