About the Role Izy Global Services LLC, a certified Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business, is hiring wheelchair van drivers to transport Veterans to and from medical appointments for the Hampton VA Medical Center and its clinics across Hampton Roads and northeastern North Carolina. You'll provide safe, dignified, door-to-door transportation for Veterans in wheelchairs — the kind of job where you go home knowing you mattered to somebody today. We are staffing 24/7 operations, so we have room for almost any schedule: full-time, part-time, weekends only, overnights — tell us what works. What You'll Do Safely transport Veterans in company wheelchair-accessible vans between homes, VA facilities, clinics, and nursing facilities Secure wheelchairs and passengers using approved restraint systems on every trip Monitor passengers during transport and communicate any change in condition Update trip status in real time on a company tablet/phone app (we train you) Assist with luggage, medications, and mobility equipment Keep your assigned vehicle clean and report maintenance needs What We Provide Paid training: First Aid, CPR, oxygen administration, wheelchair securement Uniforms and company vehicle — no personal vehicle needed Health & welfare benefit of $5.36/hr on top of base pay Veteran-friendly employer — Veterans and military spouses strongly encouraged to apply Minimum Requirements At least 18 years old with a valid driver's license and at least 1 year of licensed driving experience Clean driving record: no license suspension or revocation in the past 3 years No DUI or drug-related driving convictions U.S. citizenship and ability to read, write, and speak English (federal contract requirement) Able to pass a federal background investigation and fingerprinting Able to pass a TB test Able to push a wheelchair with a passenger and assist with boarding Preferred (not required) Prior NEMT, paratransit, ambulette, CDL, school bus, or medical transport experience Current First Aid/CPR certification Military service background
