Job Description
Description This position is contingent upon contract award Overview The Auxiliary Systems Subject Matter Expert (SME) supports Commander, Naval Surface Forces, Pacific Fleet (CNSP) as part of the Readiness Assistance Training Team (RATT) . The RATT provides direct, Sailor-centric training and technical assistance to surface ships to improve technical proficiency, material condition, organic repair capability, and overall readiness. The Auxiliary Systems SME provides expert-level technical guidance and hands-on support for the operation and maintenance of shipboard auxiliary equipment and systems. Working directly with shipboard personnel, the SME helps strengthen technical knowledge, troubleshoot equipment and system issues, improve maintenance practices, and enhance overall material and operational readiness. Location San Diego, CA, with extensive travel in support of shipboard RATT visits throughout CONUS and OCONUS locations. Requirements Required Qualifications Minimum 15 years of experience with the operation and maintenance of auxiliary systems aboard warships or military auxiliaries Direct operational and maintenance experience within the last five years with auxiliary equipment and systems currently employed by the U.S. Navy, including: Diesel engines Gasoline internal combustion engines Potable water systems Compressed air and gas systems Air conditioning systems Fuel and lubricating oil systems Ventilation systems Ability and willingness to support extensive CONUS and OCONUS travel for shipboard RATT visits Security Clearance Must possess and maintain a SECRET clearance If you meet these qualifications and are ready to make an impact, we encourage you to apply today!
