Marine Construction Foreman — Barge Operator / Boat Lift Installs $30-$48/hour Boynton Beach, FL Seaside Marine Construction is a Boynton Beach-based marine contractor building docks, seawalls, and boat lifts for waterfront homeowners throughout Palm Beach and Broward counties. We're hiring a Marine Construction Foreman to run our barge, lead our boat lift installations, and own our lift service and maintenance program. This is not an entry-level position. We're looking for someone who has already run a crew on the water, who can read a set of plans, set piles, and hang a lift without being walked through it. If that's you, this is a lead role with real ownership — and one of the strongest pay packages in South Florida marine construction. Barge and crew Operate and captain our 30'x10' work barge — mobilize, position, spud down, and demobilize safely Lead a crew of 2-3 on the water: daily assignments, productivity, quality, and safety Coordinate daily with the project manager on schedule, materials, and site access Maintain the barge, push boat, and all onboard equipment; keep logs and pre-trip inspections current Boat lift installation Manage boat lift installs start to finish — layout, piles, beams, drive units, cables, and controls Install elevator, four-post, cradle, and PWC lifts to manufacturer spec Verify capacity, alignment, and electrical rough-in; coordinate with licensed electricians Final commissioning, load testing, and homeowner walkthrough and training Operations & maintenance program Own our O&M program across every lift we've installed and every lift we service Build and run the preventative maintenance schedule — cable inspections, gearbox service, bunk and hardware replacement Handle service calls and troubleshooting: motors, drives, switches, remotes, and electrical What you need 5+ years in marine construction, dock building, or heavy waterfront work — required 2+ years leading a crew or running a barge — required Hands-on boat lift installation and service experience — required Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting ability Able to read and work from construction plans and permit drawings Confident operating vessels and heavy equipment on the water Valid Florida driver's license and clean driving record Able to lift 50+ lbs and work outdoors in South Florida conditions Organized enough to run a service schedule, not just a job site Big plus: USCG credential, TWIC card, or crane/rigging certification Welding experience (aluminum and steel) Pile driving, seawall, or concrete dock experience Prior experience building or managing a service department What we offer $30-$48 per hour depending on experience — top of the market for this work Performance bonuses tied to install throughput, service program growth, and job profitability Realistic total earnings of $100,000+ per year for the right person Health insurance Paid time off and paid holidays Company truck, tools, and equipment Steady, year-round work — we're booked out and growing A leadership seat at an established local company where your work is visible and your input counts A crew that runs on honesty, integrity, hard work, reliability, and relationships — and treats its people that way How to apply Apply through Indeed with your resume.
