Waterfront Coordinator Position:

Full Time / Hourly Reports to: Director of Marine Services Pelican Isle Yacht Club A Member-owned Private Club in North Naples recognized as the #7 Yacht Club in America and a Platinum Club of the World, with 420 Memberships, 190 Boat Slips, and an established waitlist. The Club is comprised of Members and employees who are proud of our friendly and inclusive atmosphere, professional organization, and beautiful location. The PIYC Marina Captain/Waterfront Coordinator provides assistance to Members and transients in the Marina and performs a range of customer service duties in a safe, courteous, efficient and professional manner. The ideal candidate is responsible for operating our Coast Guard inspected boat, assisting with dock activities, and directing our Paddle Sports Program. Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Safely operate and maintain a Coast Guard inspected boat, ensuring compliance with all safety regulations
• Assist in securing boats to docks and ensuring safety of others in the Marina
• Basic marina tasks to include trash removal, pump-outs and ice & water deliveries
• Assist with general maintenance and repairs of docks and equipment as needed
• Assist with the cleanliness and organization of the dock area
• Oversee the usage and storage of Paddle Sports equipment
• Develop and implement Paddle Sports Programs and activities
• Instruct guests on the safe and proper use of Paddle Sports equipment
• Provide exceptional customer service to all Members and guests
• Ensures daily tasks are completed
• Demonstrates safe work habits, including the proper care and use of tools, equipment, vehicles, hazardous material and observes all established health and safety regulations
• Provides assistance to Members, vendors, officials and staff
• Inspects and ensures above average appearance of Marina facility
• May be required to perform other related duties as assigned Skills and Abilities
• Knowledge of general boat handling, mooring and docking practices applicable to the operation and use of Marina facilities
• General knowledge of plumbing and pier repair
• Ability to swim
• Must have the ability to work outside in all weather conditions
• Be able to communicate effectively with staff and the public in a professional manner
• Must be able to work independently
• Available to work varied hours/days, including weekends and holidays as required Our New Team Member will Possess the

Following Essential Qualifications:

USCG 25-ton License, Near Coastal preferred Vessel Livery Operators License preferred FCC Marine Radio Operator Permit preferred Prior operation of a Coast Guard inspected boat Prior knowledge and experience in Paddle Sports equipment and techniques Marine guide experience First aid and CPR certified Polished and professional in appearance and demeanor Able to provide analysis and apply critical thinking and problem-solving skills Self-starter, well organized, detail oriented and flexible Innovative and solution minded approach to meeting daily challenges Possesses excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as polished phone and email etiquette Enjoys working with a team and has strong interpersonal skills Willingness to learn, grow, and contribute to an evolving organization The Position and How to Apply Compensation is competitive and commensurate with qualification and experience.
