Full-Time Job Summary Marshland Equipment Rentals is seeking an experienced and safety-focused Master of Towing Vessels (MOTV) Captain to operate and manage marine vessels supporting dredging, marine construction, heavy civil construction, marsh restoration, and coastal projects throughout Louisiana and the Gulf Coast region. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive towing vessel experience, and a commitment to safe and efficient marine operations. This position requires the ability to work offshore and inland waterways while supervising vessel crew members and maintaining compliance with all applicable regulations. Responsibilities Safely operate towing vessels, push boats, crew boats, and support vessels. Navigate inland waterways, canals, rivers, and coastal waters. Conduct vessel inspections and ensure proper maintenance of equipment. Supervise and lead deckhands and vessel crew members. Coordinate vessel movements with project managers and marine operations personnel. Ensure compliance with U.S. Coast Guard regulations and company safety programs. Complete daily logs, vessel reports, inspections, and maintenance records. Monitor weather and waterway conditions to ensure safe operations. Assist with towing, barge positioning, and marine construction support activities. Participate in safety meetings and emergency response procedures. QualificationsRequired Valid USCG Master of Towing Vessels License Current TWIC Card Valid Driver's License CPR/First Aid Certification (or ability to obtain) Strong knowledge of inland and coastal navigation Experience towing barges and operating workboats Excellent communication and leadership skills Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and physical Preferred Radar Endorsement STCW Certifications Experience supporting dredging, marine construction, or marsh restoration projects Heavy equipment and crane barge experience Mechanical aptitude and vessel maintenance experience Physical Requirements Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Ability to climb ladders and transfer between vessels safely Must be capable of working rotational schedules and extended hours as required by project demands Compensation & Benefits Competitive Pay Based on Experience Overtime Opportunities Per Diem (where applicable)
