GLO Resources is currently hiring a Skilled Laborer in LaPlace, LA . The pay rate is between $17 - $18 per hour experience dependent. The schedule is Monday - Friday from 7:00AM to 4:30PM with occasional Saturday work depending on project deadlines.

Position Summary:

This position supports marine operations by assisting with the loading and offloading of ships and barges along the river. Responsibilities include handling cargo, general maintenance and repair, and ensuring efficient transfer of materials between vessels and the shore. The role requires physical labor, attention to safety protocols, and the ability to work in varying weather conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

Load and offload cargo from ships and barges safely and efficiently. Operate equipment and tools used in marine cargo handling. Follow all safety procedures and protocols to prevent accidents and ensure a safe work environment. Inspect and secure cargo to ensure proper handling and transport. Repairing damaged barges and performing general maintenance when necessary Work in outdoor environments, including exposure to varying weather conditions. Repairing damaged fiberglass covers with exposure to fiberglass particles Other duties may be assigned as necessary

Qualification:

6 months to 1 year previous experience marine environment preferred 6 months to 1 year previous experience in fiberglass barge cover repair preferred Basic understanding of cargo handling procedures and safety standards. Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions. Strong teamwork and communication skills Willingness to work flexible hours Valid Driver's License required
