As a Driver, you will operate a variety of vehicles, including tractor-trailers, refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, and tankers, to meet the dynamic needs of our customers. Responsibilities Safely operate commercial trucks, including tractor-trailers and refrigerated trailers, following FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards. Plan and execute over-the-road (OTR) driving routes using GPS navigation systems to ensure timely deliveries across multiple locations. Load and unload freight with proper manual handling techniques, ensuring cargo is secured according to logistics cargo handling protocols. Transport hazardous materials (hazmat) and dangerous goods in compliance with hazardous materials regulations and safety procedures. Conduct thorough vehicle inspections before and after trips, maintaining compliance with safety standards for truck loading/unloading and vehicle condition. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery documentation, and compliance records in line with FMCSA regulations. Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding route updates, delivery status, or any issues encountered during transit. Qualifications Proven experience in commercial truck driving or delivery driving, preferably with route driving experience involving freight transportation. Valid commercial driver's license (CDL), with endorsements for hazmat, tanker, or flatbed preferred. Demonstrated ability to operate manual transmission vehicles and use GPS navigation systems proficiently. Knowledge of truck loading/unloading procedures and logistics cargo handling techniques. Familiarity with FMCSA regulations, DOT standards, hazardous materials regulations, and safety protocols for over-the-road trucking. Ability to manually handle freight safely while adhering to safety guidelines for manual handling tasks. Strong driving record with a focus on safety and compliance with all traffic laws.
