Delivery Driver

A local established Livermore company is searching for a Delivery Driver who will have core responsibilities in receiving and checking-in arriving product, as well as distributing and delivery of goods. The position is a 4-10 hour shift, 05:00am to 3:30pm Tuesday through Friday with possibility of long-term employment. Starting wage is $23 an hour. Associate will perform various warehouse duties including, but not limited to: Receives and transfers merchandise to and from other locations. Stocks and maintains warehouse. Arranges delivery of goods.

Essential Duties:

Examine contents and compare with records, such as manifests, invoices, or orders, to verify accuracy of incoming or outgoing shipment. Coordinate with purchasing department any product shortage or overages Prepare documents, bills of lading, and shipping orders to route materials. Ensure all required paperwork is accurately completed. Record shipment data, such as weight, charges, and damages and discrepancies, for reporting, accounting, and recordkeeping purposes Pack, seal, label, to prepare materials for shipping. Requisition and store shipping materials and supplies to maintain inventory of stock. Contact carrier representative to plan and to issue instructions for shipping and delivery of materials. Determine shipping method for materials, using knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates. Establish and maintain good customer relations. Maintain neat, clean, and professional personal appearance. Operate forklift, pallet jack, hand trucks and other equipment as required. Ensure all safety rules are strictly observed. Perform general housekeeping duties as required. Assume duties of truck driver when necessary Ensure all administrative and accounting related procedures are strictly observed. Minimum Qualifications:

Computer skills or some knowledge of computer order entry system Excellent communication skills Ability to work independently and under some pressure to meet deadlines. Ability to routinely lift 25 - 50 lbs., and occasionally lift 51 - 250 lbs. with assistance, frequent bending. Ability to perform work during prolonged standing up to 10 hours. Must be able to work overtime, when necessary Must be able to work with a wide variety of people with different personalities and backgrounds. Must be able to operate in a drug-free workplace. Must have a clean driving record.

Previous Experience Desired:

Customer service or warehouse experience.
