Are you reliable, organized, and someone who enjoys being out on the road rather than sitting behind a desk all day? Do you take pride in providing great customer service and getting the job done right? UpNorth Distribution is looking for a dependable Delivery Driver to join our Operations team. As an UpNorth Delivery Driver, you'll be an important part of getting our products safely and accurately to licensed cannabis businesses throughout California. You'll spend most of your day on the road, interacting with customers, managing deliveries, handling paperwork, and making sure every order arrives where it needs to go. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys independence, variety, and the freedom of working on the road, while still being part of a supportive team. When you're not making deliveries, you'll also help with warehouse operations, including picking, packing, staging, and moving inventory. What You'll Do Deliver cannabis products to licensed facilities throughout California in accordance with California Department of Cannabis Control (DCC) regulations and UpNorth policies. Provide professional, friendly customer service at each delivery location. Verify orders, products, documentation, and counts before and during deliveries. Collect payments and complete required paperwork accurately. Follow all applicable laws, regulations, and company procedures, including the UpNorth Driver SOP and Driver / Sales Communications SOP. Communicate with customers, Sales, Operations, Accounting, and Dispatch regarding delivery updates, changes, or discrepancies. Pick up inbound transfers and verify products, quantities, and related documentation. Complete daily vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs promptly. Keep the company vehicle clean, organized, and ready for use. Properly load and secure products for daily routes. Assist with warehouse duties when needed, including order picking, packing, inventory movement, staging, and general organization. Perform other duties as assigned based on business needs. What We're Looking For We're looking for someone who is dependable, safety-conscious, detail-oriented, a critical thinker and comfortable working independently.
You should be able to:
Manage your time effectively and stay on schedule. Follow written and verbal instructions. Communicate professionally with customers and coworkers. Read and understand delivery documentation, including itineraries, Metrc manifests, cash forms, and maintenance logs. Navigate efficiently and arrive at delivery locations on time. Follow California driving laws and safe driving practices. Work independently while staying in communication with the Operations team. Be available for early start times and commute during morning traffic when required. Required Qualifications Must be 21 years of age or older . Must pass a background check. Must have a valid California Driver's License and a clean DMV record. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English at a high-school level. Must be able to safely lift and move items weighing up to 50 lbs. Must be able to work a full-time schedule, Monday through Friday. Workdays may be approximately 12 hours depending on delivery locations, travel distance, and business needs. Preferred Experience 2+ years of experience as a delivery driver. 1+ year of customer service experience in retail, sales, hospitality, or a similar environment. Experience working with inventory, logistics, transportation, or cannabis is a plus. The Work Environment Most of your day will be spent driving to and from delivery locations throughout California. You will also spend time at customer locations and in the warehouse. At times, you will need to: Remain seated and operate a company vehicle for extended periods. Move between the warehouse, vehicle, and delivery locations. Load and unload products and other materials weighing up to 50 lbs. Walk on uneven surfaces, sidewalks, parking lots, and city curbs. Ascend and descend stairs when necessary. Communicate with supervisors, Sales, Accounting, Operations, and customers. Reporting Structure This position reports directly to the Operations Manager and does not have supervisory responsibilities.
