Food Truck Operator - $23-$25/hr + Tips Aerostat Creamery | Murrieta, CA | Part-Time Aerostat Creamery is hiring a dependable Food Truck Operator to operate our mobile ice cream ice cream food truck throughout Riverside County. This job is best for someone who likes working independently, being out at different locations, meeting people, and staying busy. We are looking for someone who is mature, responsible, dependable, and comfortable being trusted to work on their own. What You'll Do Drive and operate our ice cream FOOD truck (not the kind that drives around the neighborhood with music playing) Set up and serve at scheduled locations and events Provide friendly, efficient customer service Handle cash and POS transactions Keep the truck clean, stocked, and organized Complete opening and closing procedures Monitor fuel, water, power, and basic truck systems Communicate inventory or maintenance needs Arrive at every scheduled event on time and prepared Work with additional staff during larger events What We're Looking For Clean driving record for the past 5 years Valid driver's license Dependable and punctual Mature and responsible Comfortable working independently Comfortable working on your feet for extended periods Able to work efficiently during busy rushes Good communication and customer-service skills Comfortable driving a large commercial-style vehicle Able to follow written procedures and checklists Able to handle cash responsibly Available evenings and weekends What This Job Is Really Like We want applicants to know what to expect before applying so read carefully: The truck can get warm, especially during summer events You will spend a lot of time standing and moving Busy events can become very fast-paced You may serve customers continuously for long stretches You will need to stay organized and friendly even when there is a line The job involves loading, stocking, cleaning, setup, and breakdown in addition to serving customers Events and locations change, so every shift is not exactly the same If you prefer a slow-paced job, sitting for much of your shift, or working in a climate-controlled environment all day, this probably will not be a good fit. Previous food service, retail, food truck, catering, delivery, or customer-service experience is helpful, but not mandatory. Schedule This is a part-time position, generally around 20 hours per week. Most shifts include afternoons, evenings, and weekends. Hours and locations vary depending on scheduled stops, catering jobs, festivals, community events, and seasonal demand.
