Duties Safely operate box trucks, vans, or personal vehicles for delivery of automotive parts across designated routes. Load and unload parts using manual handling techniques and material handling equipment such as pallet jacks or carts. Ensure all deliveries are completed accurately and on time by following planned routes and schedules. Adhere strictly to Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and traffic laws during all driving activities. Verify delivery details with customers or recipients, providing excellent customer service with professionalism and courtesy. Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and vehicle inspection reports using mobile devices or onboard systems. Perform routine vehicle inspections, basic maintenance checks, and safe lifting practices to ensure operational safety. Skills Proven warehouse experience combined with delivery driver experience in a fast-paced environment. Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) or appropriate licensing for box truck or van operation; experience with manual transmission is a plus. Skilled in driving commercial trucks, vans, or courier vehicles with a strong understanding of route planning and driving safety. Experience with manual handling, heavy lifting, moving materials, and operating material handling equipment like pallet jacks. Knowledge of DOT regulations related to weight handling, hours of service, and safe workplace practices. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally during deliveries. Familiarity with mobile devices for route navigation, delivery tracking, and documentation purposes. Ability to work independently while managing multiple deliveries efficiently within scheduled timeframes.
