  • $18 an hour 15 hours ago Benefits Fuel card Company car Qualifications CPR Certification Customer communication Driver's License First Aid Certification Full Job Description Overview We are seeking a Part-Time Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) Driver to join our team.
In this role, you will provide safe, reliable, and compassionate transportation for individuals with disabilities, operating passenger vehicles and shuttle buses to transport clients to day programs, work, and home.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Safely operate passenger vehicles (vans, shuttles, or personal vehicles) following scheduled local routes.
  • Adhere to all traffic laws, state transportation regulations, and safety protocols.
  • Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking, providing exceptional customer service.
  • Conduct routine vehicle inspections, maintenance checks, and maintain cleanliness.
  • Utilize GPS navigation systems to efficiently follow designated routes.
  • Maintain clear communication with clients regarding pickup times, routes, and schedule changes.
  • Handle heavy lifting when necessary to load or unload mobility aids or equipment using proper techniques.
Qualifications:
  • Prior driving experience with good record is highly desirable.
  • Valid driver's license appropriate for vehicle operation
  • Valid CPR and First Aid-Valid VDPP License from CHP
  • Proficiency with GPS navigation systems and knowledge of local driving routes.
  • Familiarity with state transportation regulations and safety standards.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to safely perform manual handling tasks when assisting passengers.
  • Experience in non-medical transportation is preferred, but not required.
